A coffee table made from coffee? It’s possible.
Made using plastic waste and 30% used coffee grounds, Curface is technically referred to as an ‘extended high-impact polystyrene thermoplastic board’. (Ah, of course!) The recycled plastic waste and coffee is all sourced locally and transformed into Curface in Britain by its designer Re-Worked.
(via Do The Green Thing: A coffee table. Literally)
Core77 says the makers debuted the product at Ecobuild 2010, adding that the furniture legs were made from a fallen ash tree. Re-Worked says it aims to start Curface production in 2012.
